I spent all day cleaning my room. Holy crap that's a lot of dust. My allergies.

I also found a dress I brought this spring that I never wore out. BAD QUALITY CAMERA WHORING AHOY. I can't be bothered to take my glasses off.

How is everyone's holidays going? I have so many cards that I still need to write and send out, but I have been tired and lazy. D: I am spending a lot of money on postage! I tried my hand at collage this year and made three different postcards. If you want one, just note me your address, and I'll send one to you since I have lots of extras! :D

Somehow I managed to get a table at TCAF 2010. It will be a wonderful time in Toronto next year in May! I am so excited. I applied as part of the Love Love Hill Collective with four other lovely ladies. We will have so many books on our table it will be kind of crazy. It is still a long time away but if you are in the area please come by and support the festival. It is free to attend and held at the Toronto Reference Library.

Oh yeah baby, I'm feeling fantastic today! I had been accumulating some bitterness toward one particular work colleague for a while now, and today I finally decided to spill it out to my supervisor. He's new at the supervisor job, but he's really doing a great job, he handled it like a pro X3 I really like him! lol So. If you want some details, keep reading. If not, bu-bye, no hard feelings! lol

The work colleague I have issues with is not physically in the same building as I am, he's in a distant city, so it hasn't been that awful to work with him everyday. I've known him for a few years already, I've never cared much for him, but I've never had to actually work with him so it has been okay. Until I got my promotion. Now, we're kinda supposed to be working hand in hand and be team mates (kinda). He's supposed to give me work and I'm supposed to get the work done, somehow. So you get the idea: we are in constant communication. I have to deal with him on a daily basis and speaking to him is always unpleasant. He rarely appears to be in a good mood, he speaks like everyone are idiots and the work orders he sends me are sometimes incomplete or not clear enough. I have to ask him for more details a lot and sometimes I even have to refuse work orders he sends me because it's nothing I can fix. I'm not doing this on a power trip, I'm only doing my job the way I was taught to do it. Everyone knows how things are supposed to work. But he's not willing to play by the rules. It all comes down to that. So of course he ALWAYS has an excuse for everything. Let's say I am refusing a work order, he'll complain to me and try to make me change my mind. When he sees I'm not budging he'll call my supervisor, whom of course will back me up 100%. He's giving everyone headaches and he's a pain to deal with. Well, today the supervisors had a meeting and the nail that stands out is gonna be hit on the head, at last.

He's not a bad guy, I suppose, but things could go a lot smoother, if only he'd stop questioning everything all the time. Apparently, my supervisor thinks this is a result from my colleague's insecurity in his new functions... Maybe, but he's still a pain in the ass. I shouldn't have to deal with his refusal to work by the rules, I'm only here to apply the rules. I'm the messenger, being hard on the messenger will not solve the problem. If he wants to change the rules so bad, he need to argue with the big boss and the 3 other teams from our division that already work the way we are trying to work!

Today was one step toward the right direction!

Noooooooo.

I am really enjoying giving these out, but now I have to sleep. ♥
